Adamjee Cantonment College fervently hosted the closing and prize awarding ceremony of the Parliamentary Inter-Cantonment Public School and College Bangla and English Debate Competition (Dhaka Region)-2025 on 24 September in the college auditorium with great enthusiasm and festivity. The competition brought together talented debaters from various cantonment public schools and colleges in Dhaka, creating a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange and showcasing students’ analytical and public-speaking skills.

In Bangla Debate Competition, Adamjee Cantonment Public School achieved the glory of becoming the champion in the school level, while Dhaka Cantonment Girls’ Public School and College became the runner-up. Adamjee Cantonment College gained the honour of championship in the college level, and Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College became the runner-up in the same arena.

In English Debate Competition, Bangladesh International School and College, Nirjhor brought the status of championship in the school level, while Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College became the runner-up. Adamjee Cantonment College clinched championship in the college level, and Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College became the runner-up.

College Principal Brig Gen A B M Nowroj Ehsan, BSP, BGOM, ndc, psc in his address congratulated all the debaters, and advised them continue their legacy of debating in future as well. He also wished their success in their future life.

The programme concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, and it was graced by the esteemed presence of Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD, who served as the chief guest. In his speech, he congratulated and paid his whole-hearted praise to all the debaters and later, he handed over trophies, and crests among the winners and runners-up in both categories. Additionally, one of the most interesting aspects of his speech was that he asked the present students questions about the history, glory, and legacy of Adamjee Cantonment College and awarded books and crests among the winners.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of the debaters, but also reinforced the commitment of cantonment institutions to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in co-curricular activities alongside academic pursuits.
